It is a proven fact that most people find it difficult to quit smoking because of the fear of gaining weight when they do. The truth is giving up smoking does not necessarily mean you will gain weight as long as you do not pick up bad eating habits when you stop!
In this article, I will reveal to you how to do it without putting on weight.
Let's be frank here, smokers tend to give less regard to food than non-smokers! The reason is simple. Over the years, smokers' taste buds and their sense for smell have been reduced largely, therefore, he/she has less cravings for food. Once you quit smoking, your taste sense and taste buds will come back to their normal selves!
Now, to our main issue, to quit and not gain weight, you must do the following:
A: Once you have decided to quit smoking, you need to have a program e.g. a walking program, gym sessions and so on before hand. All those periods when you have to smoke after having dinner, you could just take a walk to get rid of the cravings.
B: Make a list of bad habit foods that must be avoided.
C: Never go back to smoking.
You see, most smokers prefer to remain smokers than quit and gain weight afterward. The reason is quite simple; smoking is more than an habit. It is an addiction that is quite difficult to let go. So, the excuse of gaining weight after quitting should not come in here.
As a matter of fact, smokers tend to become obsessive compulsive people that do not find doing things the normal way quite easy! So, why then should you use gaining weight as an excuse for not smoking?Withdrawal symptoms and cravings, but you need to stand firm to get through them.
Note that it is extremely important that you quit now because of your health and you must QUIT SMOKING right now!
